No its not raging white water, but Sherman County does offer opportunities for flatwater Kayaking and Canoeing. The 65 miles of shoreline at Sherman Reservoir provide numerous coves to explore and, depending on the season, the Middle Loup River invites you to explore in your kayak. Sherman County is also within easy reach of several designated Nebraska Canoe Trails: these include the North Loup, the Calamus and the Dismal river trails.
