How Do You Get to Sherman Country

Sherman County is located right in the heart of Nebraska and is easy to get to from just about anywhere. Loup City, the county seat, is less than 50 miles from I-80 north of either Kearney or Grand Island.

From Grand Island: Take Highway 2 to Cairo. Turn right onto Highway 11 and go north 5 miles until the road "T"s at Highway 58. Turn left and follow Highway 58 through Rockville to Loup City.

From Kearney: Follow Highway 10 north to Loup City via Hazard.

From Omaha: Highway 92 provides a scenic drive straight to Ashton and Loup City.

From the West: Take the Sandhills Scenic Byway (Highway 2) from Alliance to Ansley. Turn left onto Highway 92 from Ansley to Loup City.
